Rays’ pitching staff isn’t pitching like a typical Rays pitching staff

| | | |

On Monday night, the had a 7-0 lead after three innings. On Tuesday night, they had a 4-1 lead after six innings. They lost both games thanks to spectacular pitching collapses.

Entering Wednesday, the Rays had the fifth-worst ERA (4.44) and seventh-worst WHIP (1.33) in baseball this season. Last year they had the best ERA (3.19) and WHIP (1.17) in the game, both by a decent margin. The year before they had the eighth-best ERA (3.58) and second-best WHIP (1.22). Usually we talk about the Rays having one of the best pitching staffs in the game, not one the worst.

Perhaps the most amazing thing about the team’s pitching trouble is how nearly every single member of the staff is performing worse than they did a year ago. Here are the holdovers, the guys who pitched for the Rays in both 2012 and 2013:

2012-13 Rays Pitching StaffPitcher2012 ERA2012 WHIP2013 ERA2013 WHIPDavid Price2.561.106.251.48Alex Cobb4.031.252.791.19Jeremy Hellickson3.101.254.791.31Matt Moore3.811.351.951.05Fernando Rodney0.600.785.061.78Joel Peralta3.631.192.511.19Jake McGee1.950.8011.252.25Cesar Ramos2.100.975.631.63Kyle Farnsworth4.001.337.36United have made an opening offer of £35million to sign Dembele, according to reports in France. The former Celtic and Fulham striker has netted 23 times in Ligue 1 this season and has attracted attention from a number of top European teams.Ole Gunna2.32

Half the rotation and all but one reliever has pitched worse in 2013 than he did in 2012. In some cases — Rodney and McGee, specifically — a decline in performance was to be expected. Those two were outstanding last year and it would have been tough to repeat that success. Still, the decline has been drastic.

Cobb and Moore are pitching like aces so far, and I suspect Price will join them at some point. He’s simply way too good to pitch like he has over a full season. Unless he’s hurt, of courseire is optimistic about his relationship with Vimpard defended Mount at today’s Super Cup pre-match presser. He said, “I pick the best team to win the game, regardless of age. Mount deserves his chance on merit, I won’t fear to play young players. In terms of how we set up, I really liked some ofctor Lindelof. The centre-half duo successfully subdued Jamie Vardy in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Leicester City.”You have to realise partnerships are built on playing games and we have only had five games,. The entire staff has taken a step back, it seems. This looks more like a Devil Rays staff than a typical Rays staff.

Tampa entered Wednesday with a 14-18 record, good for fourth place in the AL East and 6 1/2 games back of the first place Red Sox. Their offense has been just fine so far (averaging 4.5 runs per game), but their pitching staff has been a huge disappointment. Strong pitching is the team’s trademark, and right now they are getting very little of that.

As most of us know by now, 42 — a.k.a. the Jackie Robinson movie — hit theaters nationwide Friday.

And it was a raging success, banking $27.2 million, winning the weekend at the box office in blowout fashion (Scary Movie 5 was second at $15.1 million). , 42 is now the record-holder for the biggest opening weekend among baseball movies.

Embarrassingly so, the record was previously held by The Benchwarmers. Seriously. How the Bears can have the perfect 2020 NFL Draft: Fill huge needs at cornerback, safety, guard

Ryan Pace certainly isn’t making drafting easy on himself. For a second straight year, the will enter the draft with limited resources (due largely to the trade). A year ago, the Bears didn’t own a pick until the third round. So, what did Pace do? He gave away a 2019 fifth-round pick and a 2020 fourth-round pick to in the third round and select a running back in (they also got a sixth-rounder back from the ). The Bears wound up making only five selections in the 2019 , and their only pick in the top 100 was used on the least valuable position in the sport (not including kicker and punter).

This year, the Bears are entering the upcoming draft with seven picks, none of which fall in the first round. Barring another trade up, their first pick won’t come until No. 43. They do, at least, pick again at No. 50. But once again, the Bears will be forced to make roster improvements with limited resources. The degree of difficulty is high, but if there’s one thing Pace has proven to be skilled at, it’s finding key players in the mid-to-late rounds. Yes, he has a horrible habit of giving away draft capital to go get the guy he wants. Yes, his history at the top of the draft is a disaster (allow me to introduce you to and ). But Pace has also found gems like , , , , , , and all after Round 1.

With notable holes at cornerback and guard, the Bears will need Pace to work his mid-to-late round magic once again, if they’re going to rebound from a disappointing 8-8 season and return to the playoffs. With that in mind, I laid out how the Bears can piece together the perfect draft. It’ll never happen — because that sort of thing almost never does. It’s not entirely in their control. They’ll need certain things to break their way. But — trying to be as realistic as possible — here’s how the Bears can walk away from the draft () feeling like they just hit a home-run.

Step 1: Stop trading up

It’s about time Pace realized that giving up future assets in order to draft the prospect his heart desires is bad business. It’s his biggest flaw — that and identifying talent at the quarterback position. He doesn’t seem to understand that the draft is largely a crapshoot and it’s about giving yourself as many lottery tickets as possible. Instead, he goes all-in on his evaluations in fear that someone is going to steal the player he wants.

It’s since taking over as the Bears GM in 2015. He traded up from to take Trubisky — giving up Nos. 3, 67, 111, and a future third-round pick to move up ONE SPOT. That same year, he traded up in the fourth round to take Jackson, parting ways with an additional sixth rounder. In 2016, he moved up in the first round to take , who was recently cut after four good, but not great seasons — the Bears signed as before cutting ties. To do so, he gave up a fourth-round pick. Later in that draft, he traded up one spot in the fourth round for Kwiatkowski in Round 4, giving up an additional sixth rounder. In 2018, the Bears traded for a second-round pick to take , giving up a fourth- and second-rounder. There was also the aforementioned trade up for a running back a year ago.

What you should notice about those trades is that some of them worked out and some of them didn’t. The trade up for Trubisky was an unmitigated disaster at the time, even before we knew what caliber of quarterback Trubisky would become. The trade up for Floyd wasn’t a disaster, but in hindsight, the Bears would’ve been better off staying patient and letting the take Floyd before they were on the clock. Quality players would’ve been available for the Bears a few picks later at their original position. Then again, their trades to move up for Jackson, Miller, and Kwiatkowski were all entirely worth it.

The point being, the draft is a crapshoot. Nobody knows which players will develop into contributors and which players won’t. For every Jackson, there’s a Trubisky. That’s why the Bears should stop giving away future assets to go get their guy. They’d be better off saving their picks to give Pace more chances to draft useful players.

As the Bears enter yet another draft without a first-round pick, it’s imperative they use their remaining draft capital in wise ways. Not trading up for a change would be a good start.

Step 2: Grab a CB, G, or S with first two picks

This mostly depends on how the first 42 picks of the draft unfold, which the Bears can’t do anything about, but if the Bears are living in a perfect world, they’ll fill two of their three urgent needs in the second round, where again, they have two selections at Nos. 43 and 50. Their three needs? Cornerback, guard, and safety.

After cutting to , the Bears are thin at corner. They signed , but Burns isn’t nearly the same level of player as Amukamara. has but he’s still a relative unknown. The Bears need to make cornerback a priority. The same can be said for guard after starting right guard retired and for safety, after , who replaced Amos a year ago, departed in free agency.

It’s entirely possible a top corner falls to them at No. 43. In a perfect world, Noah Igbinoghene out of Auburn drops to the Bears there —

It’s also entirely possible a good safety prospect slips to them at No. 50 like, say, Ashtyn Davis out of Cal. In Wilson’s mock, Davis went to the at No. 51 after the Bears took quarterback Jacob Eason the pick prior. In a perfect world, the Bears wouldn’t waste a valuable resource on a developmental quarterback and instead, they’d try to find immediate solutions to boost an otherwise playoff-caliber team. In Davis, the Bears would be getting Jackson a partner at safety and a player :

“The  has put a big premium on safeties who can run. Davis is that guy. He can cover a lot of ground on the back end with speed that enabled him to compete on the Cal track team. He is a bit raw, and he tends to go for the big hit too much, but he has the tools to become a Pro Bowl safety. He did have some injury issues that are concerning – he had a core muscle injury that required surgery – but he is expected to be ready to go for the season. ”

If the Bears used their only two selections in the top 50 on Igbinoghene and Davis, their draft would be off to a perfect start.

Step 3: Acquire more draft capital

As previously mentioned, the Bears are short on draft picks. After picking at No. 50, they won’t be on the clock again until the fifth round at No. 163. Their two fourth-round selections now belong to the Patriots at this past summer.De Jong left for Barcelona, while De Ligt was sold to Juventus.Ten Hag lamented: “We hoped that De Ligt and De Jong could stay here. “These are two players still very young and we had hoped to keep them for a few more years. “Unfornd the (due to the trade). And their third-round pick belongs to the Raiders. After No. 163, the Bears pick at Nos. 196, 200, 226, and 233. Those are the crapshoot rounds. So, the Bears should try to get themselves more lottery tickets by working the phones and hoping other teams want to pull a Pace by moving up for the guy they want.

Acquire more draft capital. That should be a goal of the Bears during the draft.

Step 4: Get a guard

After adding a safety and cornerback, the Bears still need help at guard. I would never advocate for a team to reach for a prospect based on need alone, but in an ideal world, the Bears would watch an interior offensive lineman fall to them at No. 163.

Shane Lemieux out of Oregon — 155th on — comes to mind considering his strength (run blocking) and the Bears offensive line’s weakness (run blocking). A year ago, , per Football Outsiders. During his prime, Long was a beast in the running game. Finding someonielder Rodri admits the players have struggled to handle VAR.City thought they had snatched victory against Tottenham when Gabriel Jesus rifled past Hugo Lloris with only a few minutes on the clock before VAR disallowed the goal following a handball e who can fill that role is paramount. Lemieux would make a lot of sense here — and I’m not saying that because Lemieux and Long share the same alma mater.

Step 5: Add depth to defense

In the late stages of the draft, the Bears should be taking the best player available regardless of position. But in a perfect world, those players would be defensive backs and linebackers. In other words, the Bears should be trying to add depth to their defense to account for injuries.

As previously mentioned, the Bears are thin at cornerback. Getting Igbinoghene would be huge, but the Bears can’t depend on one rookie to transform their secondary. Adding depth here is important.

As is adding depth at linebacker. A year ago, the Bears’ depth at linebacker paid huge dividends when went down with an injury and Kwiatkoski filled in admirably. Kwiatkoski’s relief appearance earned him a Four Premier League clubs are interested in Huddersfield Town forward Steve Mounie, according to reports. The Benin international joined the Terriers from Montpellier in a club record deal worth £12million.TEAMtalk says Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Watford and Bournemouth are keen to sign the 24-year-old.Clubs in France and Germany are also interested in Mounie.nice contract in Las Vegas with the , so the Bears could stand to add a backup at inside linebacker behind Trevathan and .

Two names that would make sense in the later rounds? Evan Weaver, a linebacker out of Cal, , and ‘s leading tackler last season. Utah State cornerback D.J. Williams, who ranks 189th on Trapasso’s big board, would also be a good fit.

Step 6: Don’t reach for a QB

I do not think either Nick Foles or Mitchell Trubisky are the Bears’ long-term answer at quarterback. But I also don’t think the Bears should reach for a quarterback in this year’s draft.

Without a first-round pick, the only two quarterbacks that probably make sense for the Bears are Jacob Eason and Jalen Hurts. But those two quarterbacks are incredibly flawed. Their chances of developing into franchise-level quarterbacks are slim.

Instead of using a second-round pick on a quarterback, the Bears should try to upgrade other areas, as previously outlined. They should go all in with Foles/Trubisky for one season. If the Bears make the playoffs with Foles or Trubisky? Great, their plan worked. Either their otherwise good roster was able to overcome so-so quarterback play or Foles/Trubisky played better than expected. If the Bears do not make the playoffs, their otherwise good roster was not able to overcome so-so quarterback play and Foles/Trubisky did not play better than expected. In that scenario, the Bears would likely have a decent first-round pick in 2021, which they can then use on a quarterback prospect better than Eason and Hurts.

Go all in with this core in 2020. The Bears already won eight games without a quarterback a year ago. With only marginally better quarterback play, they can be a playoff team. If it doesn’t work, draft a quarterback in a year, when the Bears actually have a first-round pick and a chance to draft a quarterback with a decent chance of developing into the savior they’ve been looking for at the quarterback position since, well, forever really.

Saints make Pro Bowler Andrus Peat one of NFL’s highest-paid offensive linemen with $57.5M extension

The aren’t exactly gushingassimiliano Mirabelli has taken fresh aim at Paolo Maldini.Mirabelli has made it no secret he feels Maldini is unqualified to be a director with the Rossonero. And he stated on Tuesday to TMW: “Maldini was a great player, but he should be asked: ‘Wh with salary cap space, but that hasn’t stopped them from spending big to lock up one of their own. , the team has re-signed offensive guard to a five-year extension worth $57.5 million.

The 26-year-old Peat, drafted 13th overall by the Saints in 2015, was among the most notable interior offensive linemen who hit 2020 free agency. His deal includes $33 million in guaranteed money, per Rapoport, the biggest sum ever doled out to a guard. With an average annual salary of $11.5 million under the new deal, Peat also becomes one of the highest-paid offensive linemen in the game; onlack Ryan Sessegnon.Anderton says Tottenham should forget about Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) and Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) and instead go for “perfect” signing Sessegnon.Speaking to Sportingbet, the former England international said: “Jack Grey five other guards are set to make more on a per-year basis.

It’s not hard to understand why the Saints would be willing to pay big bucks to keep their O-line intact. Quarterback is returning on a one-year deal, intent on making a final run at a title. Keeping Peat in place at left guard, not to mention as insurance for other starters like tackle , who’s never once played all 16 games, simply allows New Orleans to feel more comfortable about an immediate return to postseason contention. Peat’s also young enough to grow with whomever replaces Brees down the road.

It remains to be seen whether he’ll be worth the ir again, who’s excited?!With the season now over, most of the attention has turned to the summer transfer market. There are stories and speculation swirling around everywhere. Sometimes it feels overwhelming. But please don’t stress, because here at Trnvestment, of course. 2020 NFL Draft: League cancels all college player visits, sets up alternative via phone or video conferencing

In a response to the coronavirus pandemic, the NFL has decided to “prohibit all in-person pre-draft visits involving draft-eligible players,” the league . Specifically, draft-eligible players are not allowed to travel to a club facility or any other location to meet with team personnel. Organizations are also barred from traveling to draft-eligible player’s schools.

Teams can, however, speak with prospects via telephone or video conference through the day prior to the 2020 . Any of those phone or video chats must be reported to the player personnel department upon completion “along with the call participants, date and time of the call, hizkid Islam Feruz has been without a club for two years, it has been revealed. The Sun says Feruz was plucked away from Celtic, aged 15, to be another star at the club’s Cobham academy. But such promise didn’t translate into success for the striker as and total length of the call.”

While clubs can still talk to potential draft picks, they are somewhat limited in what they can do in that avenue as well. Accordinpool striker Roberto Firmino says there’s more to come from him.Firmino believes he has simply gone from strength to strength since moving to the Premier League in 2015 from Hoffenheim. He said, “I think I improved a lot in every way: physically, tag to the memo, teams can schedule no more than three telephone or video conferences with an individual draft-eligible player per week (Sunday through Saturday). Each conversation (telephone for video chat) can last no longer than one hour. Those meetings also cannot be conducted during a time that interferes with a player’s school schedule.

The league also says they will work with the Competition Committee and the General Managers Advisory Committee to “discuss ways to collect and disseminate minho is happy seeing Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino reach the Champions League final.Giving his verdict on two quite remarkable comebacks, Mourinho was praising of his two former nemeses. “I will be in trouble in the edical information of draft-eligible players.”

“We have not taken this step lightly but believe that it is most consistent with protecting the health of our club personnel, draft eligible players, and the public,” the player personnel memo reads.

This latest move by the league to curtail the impact that COVID-19 could have on its personnel comes off the heels of the NFL and a large majority of teams due to health concerns. Of course, this situation with the NFL pales in comparison to other leagues such as the , NCAA, MLS and MLB, who are all either canceling, postponing or delaying their seasons due to the coronavirus.

NFL Week 15 Picks Against the Spread: Baker goes nuts against Cards, plus three totals you want to play now

Three weeks to go in the NFL regular season. It’s incredible how fast it moves every year. The last three weeks when you’re making picks, be cognizant of two things: motivation and weather. The latter should be fairly obvious, but it can change quickly in the winter months and we’re going to see some situations that simply don’t favor certain teams. Giants-Dolphins feels like a shootout situation, but if there’s 17mph wind in New York, and are not going to be cutting through the wind with laser rocket arms.

Also, with motivation, you’ve got to remember why teams are playing and what they’re playing for. It’s not as big as bowl season or anything, but don’t assume the are mailing in the rest of the season because it looks like the No. 1 seed is locked up.

Baltimore has the tiebreaker over the right now, but the Ravens still lose a tiebreaker to the , who are lurking around the bend. Hence, should still see plenty of snaps in Week 16. You saw what he did against the in a blowout, tossing TD passes to when everyone and their brother thought he would/should/could be sat down to make sure he’s healthy come the postseason. So much for that quad injury.

It was a break-even week in Week 14 and hopefully you didn’t go to big on that Dolphins/Jets over, because it was a burner thanks to 10 field goals. Fortunately we’ve got a couple of totals to get it back this week. Make sure and check out the Pick Six Podcast in the player below for every single one of our picks/leans/best bets and scroll down for a couple parlays as well.

Texans-Titans Over 50

If you listen to the Pick Six Podcast you already bet on this and you bet on it at 48 or 49 instead of having to jump on it now and get it at 51, which is a pretty huge difference. You could have also watched our Week 15 Early Look YouTube Exclusive and found out on SUNDAY that you should take the over (check it out below, sweet hair, me). This is the Jim Nantz/Tony Romo game in Nashville this week and it might be for all the marbles, because and the need to sweep the to win the AFC South. Fortunately they’ve been lights out the last few weeks, scoring piles and piles of points. The Texans got blasted by the last week, but we should look at that and get excited for the over — Houston is more than willing to give up a lot of points. Tennessee allowed 21 first-half points to the last week. The Texans are more explosive than the Raiders, especially if they get back (TBD as of Friday afternoon, but can supplement nicely). Tennessee is first overall in red zone scoring this year, capitalizing on a ridiculous 73 percent of their trips. The Texans are fifth at 67 percent. This isn’t something that’s trailing off, because the Titans and Texans are third and fifth, respectively, over the last three games in terms of red zone conversions. I would take this up to 52 if I happened to read this on Friday (it’s 51) or over the weekend (it probably won’t close much ined to continuing scoring after their 6-1 win at Aston Villa. He now has 177 goals after a record 12th league treble. It helped lift City up to second but Aguero admits the Champions League may be their best bet for glory with Liverpool 14 points in fhigher than 52 — seven touchdowns and a field goal).

Broncos-Chiefs Under 46

Again, if you watch our weekly Sunday “Early Look” YouTube exclusive (in the giant player above featuring my head) you heard me saying to take the under in this game at 47. It might not have been on the board everywhere because of ‘ injury, but it was widely available at 46 by the middle of the week. It’s currently 44.5, which is slightly less appealing, but it needs to be snared before it crosses the key number of 44. The Chiefs are -10 in this game (although you’ll notice it’s 9.5 for our picks podcast because of where the lines lock) and that is important for #trends, because Andy Reid coached teams are 11-5 to the under in December games at home in Kansas City. Additionally, when Reid is a touchdown or more favorite, the under in December home games is 5-1. Patrick Mahomes’ hand isn’t right, so I expect the Chiefs to try and run the ball or work the short passing game instead of challenging the Broncos downfield. looked fantastic against the Texans, but the Chiefs are a much better defense than people understand and he won’t challenge vertically. This should be a grinder of a game that could feature a bunch of snow, 28-degree temperatures and 11 mph of wind. We could get burnt by defenthird-longest serving player and has committed himself for another four years.”I’ve been here for six years and I’ve loved every minute of it,” he said.”I want to continue that and, thankfully, to extend the stay is fantastic news for me and my familsive touchdowns but I think this is a molasses game.

+4.5 vs.

Philly is looking like for this game. is done for the season, Nelson Agholor is going to be limited at best, could still be missing. is a longshot to play this week. The Eagles needed overtime to take care of the last week and it was in large part because of Pat Shurmur’s unwillingness to be aggressive in the second half. The Giants defense had to face 84 plays (84!) from the Eagles and just folded like a cheap suit in the second half and overtime. The Redskins defense is a little more stout, and I can see them grinding this thing out in ugly conditions — cold, some decent wind, etc., in D.C. More importantly, I love the idea of and hooking up deep in this game against a VERY questionable Eagles secondary. I don’t think it becomes a shootout or anything, but McLaurin put up some numbers (five catches, 125 yards, one touchdown) the first time these teams played. I could see the Redskins stealing this game, honestly.

Colts-Saints Over 46

No . No . and Cam Jordan on the injury report. The defense, which has been very good this season, is not healthy and is coming off a game where the showed you can score on them. The should be able to do that as well, with looking pretty good against the , even without a bunch of his weapons. T.Y. Hilton is trying to force his way back, but it’s TBD on if he actually plays. Even if he doesn’t, we’ll see and (again, a lack of weapons) able to get deep on some plays. I think the Saints will be willing to put up 30+ themselves and the Colts secondary will let you score on them and in quick fashion. This game has moved up to 47, which isn’t ideal, but I think this game goes over barring a total clog of these offenses in the red zone.

Patriots -9.5 at

I hate this pick already, haha. But I don’t care. Just in a vacuum, the Patriots shouldn’t be a 10-point favorite over anyone. Their pass defense is very good, but their offense is just bad at this point. isn’t on the same page with his receivers. The run game can’t get cooking — but there’s a chance this is the week they can make something happen. There’s a sneaky double revenge game angle here with and . Don’t sleep on it. I’m not joking. The Patriots since 2015 are 6-1 against the spread as a favorite of 10 points or more. Yes, I know they’re a nine-point favorite here, but they are currently -10 (-115) on the market so this game will qualify assuming it doesn’t shoot back down before kick. More importantly perhaps? The UNDER when the Patriots are double-digit favorites on the road since 2015 is 7-0 and when they are seven-point or more faves is 14-4. The total here is climbing for some reason. If it gets to 42, you should jump all over the under. Oh yeah and I forgot … the Bengals reported the Patriots to the for videotaping their coaches. Bill Belichick angry? I’ll take the Pats minus the points for sure.

This line should end up going over the key number of seven at some point. It’s a total donkey play, like the Pats on the road, but it doesn’t matter. The Seahawks are not a dominant team, but they are a team that needs to win. The Panthers? Not so much. They’re working with an interim coach, with key defensive players missing and other defensive players calling out the coach. The Panthers’ biggest weakness is stopping the run and no one likes to run the ball more than Seattle. might go for 200 rushing yards in this game with out for the year with an ACL injury. I also wouldn’t rule out a shocking explosion here. The last time Russ threw interceptions in four straight games, he bounced back in Week 15 of 2016 with a 350-yard, four-touchdown passing game. Granted it was at home against the , but the Seahawks have been good in Carolina and in 1 p.m. games recently. Russ is 3-1 straight up in Charlotte for his careboss Frank Lampard has hinted at the departure of Victor Moses to Inter Milan.Sky Italia says Moses has agreed personal terms with the Serie A outfit with him ready to leave Fenerbahce – where he is currently playing on loan from Chelsea.Inter – who er and the Seahawks are 9-3-1 against the spread since 2015 in those early games. The weather looks good in Carolina for Sunday — mid 50’s, sunny, no wind — so Russ and Carson should eat. This will probably be a monster game with every fantasy footballer benching him.

-2.5 at Cardinals

Pure revenge play here for . Are the Browns a good football team? No, no they are not. But Baker has shown a proclivity in his career to elevate his game against coaches who burnt him. Remember when Hue Jackson was fired and left to coach the Bengals? Baker completed 65 percent of his passes for 542 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions in two matchups against Cincinnati down the stretch. The Browns have, over the last two years, been substantially better against bad defenses. No one is going to want to back them after seeing them struggle with the Bengals last week. The Cardinals have been frisky and has looked sharp for stretches of the season. If doesn’t play the rest of the year (TBD on that), Murray can steal the OROY. But Kliff is coaching him and Baker will be seeing red. I’m not sure who the Cards put on — do they even bother with ?? — but I think we can see a nice little effort from here. Again, a pure spite play.

Season recordPick Six Parlay of the Week

We need to find another winner and this might be a good spot, with us only finding a consensus in three spots total. I really like these two overs, especially in Oakland where I can’t imagine Jon Gruden won’t bring out the kitchen sink for this game. The Raiders’ defense isn’t good enough to slow down Jacksonville completely. I was on the at first, but as noted in the podcast, the public is loving the Vikes this week and they’re road favorites against a Chargers team playing with a little bit of December YOLO. See above for Colts-Saints.

Moneyline Parlay of the Week

I thought I was done messing around with chalk after losing a bunch of favorites last week, but I lied. I think we’re gonna work the Chargers in here and then add some shorter favorites. Looks like is a full go for Tampa, so we can back Tampa before that line gets up to 5 or 6 and makes the ML prohibitive. Look at that! A couple of road favorites and a team I don’t even love. This is so bad it’s definitely going to win.
